HKICPA scholarship 2020/2021

The BCom(Hons) in Accounting and Banking programme is accredited by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
An official online portal of accounting and finance job listings of the Institute, HKICPA Source provides a platform for job seekers to explore accounting and finance job opportunities from practising to business to public sectors. It is also an ideal channel for prospective employers to recruit Hong Kong CPAs with the Institute’s wide distribution network covering more than 45,000 members of the Institute and more than 19,000 prospective accountants. Over 1,000 accounting and business employers have made use of this free job posting service.

The Department is pleased to announce that graduates from 1 Jan 2021 to 31 December 2025 in the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Accounting and Banking programme shall be awarded exemptions from nine AIA Professional Qualification Programme (PQ) examinations. After the exemptions, five more examinations remain.
Association of International Accountants (AIA) is a professional accounting body, offering professional qualifications for accountants in public practice, industry and the public sector globally. The new PQ offers education at a level equivalent to a UK master’s degree programme. Upon completion of the professional examinations, graduates are awarded the ‘AIA Professional Qualification’.
